Women's Volleyball Takes Down PSU-Abington in Five Sets

Abington, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team won a five set thriller over crosstown rival Penn St. Abington in Tuesday night action. The game scores were 8-25, 25-19, 25-17, 19-25 and 15-4. 

Kaitlyn Brock led the Lions with 13 kills, 25 digs, and three service aces. Cathleen Curran led the defense with  29 digs, while Cree Gurney notched six kills, 11 digs and four service aces. Haley Schmucker dished out 26 assists and eight digs, while Holly Adams added four kills, five digs, and three block assists. Taylor Davis notched two solo blocks and four block assists. Alexus Kolb recorded 10 digs, and Eden Zecher added two kills.  

Coach Kozar expressed, "Cathleen and Kaitlyn led our defense tonight. We could not have played more aggressive volleyball and our team energy was insane. I am so proud of our performance. Go lions!" 

The Lions return to the court Saturday, October 12, to host Arcadia. First serve is set for 1:00pm.
