Crusaders Too Much for Men's Lacrosse

Reading, PA. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team fell to Alvernia University 16-3 on the road Thursday night.

Dana Ayers and Terrence Johnson led the Lions with a goal and two shots on net a piece. Graham Lermitte had a goal and one shot on net. Ben Adams led the defense by picking up four ground balls

The Crusaders scored four goals in the first period, before the Lions got on the board.  Ayers scored on a man advantage to chip away at the Alvernia lead. 

38 seconds into the second period Johnson scored off a pass from Christian Blair to cut the Crusader lead to two goals. Eight seconds later, Alvernia responded with a goal to build their lead back up to three goals. 

Lermitte scored, a man down, with 8:58 left in the second to bring the Lions within two goals.

The Crusaders scored three more goals in the second period to take the lead 8-3 going into the half.

Alvernia scored five goals in the third and three in the fourth to win game 16-3

Matt Bartalini played the first half, making seven saves. Robert Moran played the second half in net, making seven saves. 

Lions return to the field on Saturday afternoon to host Eastern University. The game is slated for 1:00 pm
