Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team defeated Trinity Washington 3-0 in Tuesday night action. The game scores were 25-4, 25-12, and 25-15. 

Kaitlyn Brock led the Lions with 10 service aces and eight kills. Cree Gurney notched seven kills, four digs, and six service aces. Taylor Davis added seven kills and two service aces, while Haley Schmucker dished out 19 assists.

Trinity got on the board first, but Gurney served nine straight points to help the Lions take the lead. Kills by Cathleen Curran and Holly Adams extended the Lions lead to 13-4. Brock then served 11 straight points to take the first set.

In set two, both teams exchanged points till Gurney served out five points to build a 10-5 lead. The Lions continued to build their lead, but Trinity took a time out to slow down the momentum. Gurney served five straight points to extend the lead to 20-5. Bryn Athyn let Trinity chip away with errors, but a kill from Curran got the Lions back on track and took the second set.

The Lions came out in the third set with a commanding 6-1, led by Curran serving. Brock then served five straight points to build the Bryn Athyn lead to 17-7. With the help of Brock and Davis, Bryn Athyn put away the third set to bring home the win.

The Lions return to the court Thursday, September 26th to face Wesley. The game is set for 7:00pm.
