Box Score Ithaca, NY – The Bryn Athyn College picked up their first conference win against Wells College at Ithaca College, 17-8 Sunday afternoon.
Ryan Landels led the Lions with five goals and three assists. Nolan Frame scored four goals and two assists. Quintin Harrish notched four goals and four ground balls.
Bryn Athyn took control of the game from the start, Frame scored at 13:43 off a pass from McCurdy. Wells tied the game at 6:52 with a goal. Quintin Harrish scored with 3:08 left in the first quarter to retake the lead.
The Express started the second quarter tying the game at 2-2 at 13:31. Coyle retook the lead for the Lions with a goal 30 seconds later. Bryn Athyn built their lead with a goal from Landels at 6:34, but the Express scored 30 seconds later to keep Bryn Athyn within one goal. The Lions finished the quarter strong, scoring two goals in the last minute.
Bryn Athyn scored two goals in the third quarter to extend their lead to 8-3. The Express answered with back-to-back goals to keep the Lions within three. The Lions responded scoring four unanswered goals to take a 12-6 lead heading into the last quarter.
Wells scored at 12:31 of the fourth quarter, but Bryn Athyn kept their offensive pressure, scoring four goals to build their lead to 16-6. Wells would score two late goals but Bryn Athyn finished the game scoring with seven seconds left in the game.
