Hilbert Slips By Men's Lacrosse

Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team fell to Hilbert 9-7 in NEAC confrence action Friday afternoon.

Connor Buick led the Lions with three goals and two ground balls.  Andrew Coyle, Travis McCurdy, Nolan Frame and Marlon Forrest scored one goal each. McCurdy led the defense with nine ground balls and three caused turnovers. 

The Hawks took the early lead, scoring the lone goals the first quarter at the 10:29 mark. 

15 seconds into the second quarter, Coyle tied the game with a goal, assisted by McCurdy.  Hilbert scored three goals in the next five minutes to take a 4-1 lead.  The Lions scored at 6:41 to bring the game within two goals. The Hawks answered with two goals to rebuild their four goal lead.  The Lions would finish the quarter scoring three unanswered goals to bring the game to 6-5.

Buick scored at 5:05 mark of the third quarter to tie the game at 6-6.  Hilbert scored a minute later to retake their lead and go into the last quarter ahead.

Frame tied the game at the 12:52 mark of the four quarter, off a pass from McCurdy.  Hilbert would win the game scoring two goals late in the quarter.

Robert Moran made 16 saves in net for the Lions.
