How It Happened:

In the first half, Bryn Athyn initially trailed Bryn Mawr College when an unassisted goal from Alexis Boutchie at the 41st minute mark (41:03) put the Owls ahead 1-0. In the second half, it was Shauna Breen who connected on a goal courtesy of Chelsea Czarnik, that evened up the contest, 1-1, for the Lions. With the stalemate at the end of regulation, Shelby Puccio was able to get off two shots for the Lions in the extra frame but it was saved by goalkeeper Leah Baer for the Owls. Elisa Cooney was able to get a shot for the Owls but it was saved by the Lions goalkeeper Allison Warren. With both teams going scoreless in the first overtime, Kristen White was able to deliver in the second overtime with just 22 seconds into the opening tip and her goal ensured the victory was on the Lions' side in the two overtime thriller.  

Lions' Top Performers

   * Breen and White scored a goal for the Lions while Czarnik picked up an assist.

   * Puccio took game high four shots.

   * Warren made four saves at the goal post.

Owls' Top Performers:  

   * Cooney, Boutchie, and Haidyn Weight took two shots each.

   * Boutchie scored the lone goal for the Owls.

   * Baer made four saves at the goal post.
