Box Score Bryn Athyn Pa – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team host Alfred State on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match up. The Lions cruised to an 18-5 victory for their third win on the season.
The Lions jumped out to 3-0 lead in the first quarter on two goals by Ryan Landels and one goal by Travis McCurdy. The Lions increased their lead in the second quarter to 7-0 on goals by Andrew Coyle, Connor Buick, Jesse Frazier and Luke Frazier. Robert Moran kept the Pioneers off the scoreboard for the first half making 6 saves on 13 shots.
The third quarter saw the Lions Nolan Frame score four of his six goals in the game. The Pioneers finally got on the scoreboard in the third quarter outscoring the Lions 3-1 midway through the quarter. The Lions then scored the next four goals led by two goals by Steve Petaccio. The third quarter ended with the Lions leading 13-3.
The Lions were able to add five more goals in the fourth and only giving up two more goals to hold on for the convincing 18-5 win over Alfred State.
The Lions Nolan Frame had his best game of the year, scoring 6 goals on 10 shots and adding 3 assist on the day. The Lion's goalkeeper Robert Moran was again solid in goal, making 10 saves on 15 shots in 53 minutes of play.
The Lions move to 3-1 overall on the season. The men's lacrosse team is back in action Wednesday March 30th as the host Delaware Valley at 4:30 pm.
