Men's Lacrosse fall to Morrisville in NEAC Opener 18 - 7

Morrisville NY - The men's lacrosse team traveled to Morrisville State to open up their 2016 conference schedule. The Lions struggled and fell to Morrisville 18-7.

Morrisville jumped out to 1-0 lead in the first minute of the game. Lion's Andrew Coyle answered a couple of minutes later with a goal assisted by Nolan Frame. Morrisville was up 3-1 when the Lions tied it up with goals by Luke Frazier assisted by Jesse Frazier and Ryan Landels assisted by Travis McCurdy. Morrisville added a goal with 17 seconds left to go up 4-3 to end the first quarter. 
Morrisville jumped all over the Lions in the second quarter, outscoring the Lions 6-1. The half ended with Lions down 10-4. 

Morrisville opened the third with two more goals, then the Lions got back on the scoreboard when Ryan Landels scored two goals, one unassisted and the other assisted by Andrew Coyle. The Lions Nolan Frame got the Lions within six, 13-7, with an unassisted goal with one second left in the third quarter.

Morrisville then held the Lions scoreless in the fourth quarter and went on to the 18-7 victory over the Lions. 

The Lions move to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the NEAC. The Lions were led by Ryan Landels with three goals. Robert Moran was in goal for the Lions, making 19 saves on 37 shots.
The Lions are back in action on Wednesday, April 6th, as they host Keuka in their second NEAC game of the year.
