How It Happened:

Facing a 0-2 deficit, Bryn Athyn crawled back into the competition starting with the third set. The set was a back-and-forth battle with the Lions trailing until a 23-23 tie. It was Catherine Kirk whom set up teammate Alexis Juristch for two straight kills to finish the third set with a 25-23 victory. After a 12-10 lead in the fourth set, the Lions pushed the tempo to a 13-5 run that ended the set with a 25-15 victory. The Highlanders had one last chance in the fifth set to seal the deal. After a 6-3 lead, a Lions time out rejuvenated the team to go on a 6-1 run that forced a timeout for the Highlanders. From there, the momentum flowed on the Lions side to finish the out the game on a final kill from Kirk. 

 
Lions' Top Performers

   * Taylor Davis and Hannah Dewees paced the offense with 14 and 13 kills respectively.
   * Kirk recorded team high 34 assists.
   * Juritsch paced the defense with 18 digs. Sam Hicks finished with 17 digs while Dewees notched 12. 

Highlanders' Top Performers: 

   * Haley Sheehan finished with game high 18 kills and 21 digs.
   * Liz White dished out game high 35 assists.
   * Brie Norton also helped pace the defense with 13 digs.

Stats of the Game: 

   * Lions totaled 45 kills, 39 assists, and 66 digs.
   * Highlanders totaled 47 kills, 43 assists, and 65 digs.
