Frame scores four times in men's lacrosse's 15-9 loss to Stockton

GALLOWAY, N.J. -- Nolan Frame scored four times and Cameron Leech racked up seven points for the Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team in a 15-9 non-conference road loss to Stockton University Wednesday night.
 
Leech, who tied his career-best single match point total, had one goal and tallied six assists, one assist shy of his career high. Jon Carr had a three-point night with two goals and one assist. Nolan Bosserman and Ricky Tran also got into the goal column with one each.
 
The Lions (1-3) continued their strong play in man-up situations with four goals in seven opportunities. Bryn Athyn also had a good night in terms of clearing with 14 successful clears in 18 attempts.
 
After quickly falling behind 1-0, Leech and Tran scored 57 seconds apart to give Bryn Athyn a 2-1 advantage at the 10:32 mark of the first quarter. Tran's goal was his first of the season. The host Ospreys (1-2) answered back with the final three goals of the quarter to lead 4-2.
 
Stockton's Zack Aho and Bryn Athyn's Nolan Bosserman traded goals in the opening five minutes of the second quarter. Then, the Osprey ran off four of the next five goals, with the Lion goal coming from Frame, to open up a 9-4 cushion. Carr and Frame scored in the last 50 seconds of the half to bring the Lions back within 9-6.
 
The Ospreys scored the first three goals of the third quarter to widen the gap to 12-6. Frame's third goal of the evening, second on a man-up opportunity, coming with 3:38 left in the quarter trimmed the deficit to 12-7. 
 
After Carr scored for the second time at the 10:02 mark of the fourth quarter, Stockton put the match away with three consecutive goals to take a match-high seven-goal lead (15-7) with 8:17 left. Frame capped up his four-goal night and took the team in scoring with 12 goals this season when he scored with 5:53 left in the contest.
 
Aho was the Ospreys' top offensive player with three goals and two assists. Mike Caposella notched a hat-trick, while Tommy Gallo had two goals and two assists. Eric Ellis added two goals. 
 
Stockton was 3-for-4 in man-up situations.
 
The Ospreys' Justin Ruiz stopped four shots to earn the victory. Brad DePasquale recorded nine saves in the Lion net. Stockton outshot Bryn Athyn 39-24.
 
The Lions have a week off before returning to action against visiting Susquehanna University on Wednesday, March 21 at 4 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
