Men's lacrosse drops game on Senior Day

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - Men's lacrosse honored their eight seniors: Mike Haas, Michael Varley, Mike Perkett, Matt Traber, Thomas Kowzlowski, Dan Condon, Jarrett Shapcott, and Justin Rallo before the game. The Lions would drop the contest 20-9 to the visiting Kean Cougars.

Inside the Box Score How it Happened
  • Kean jumped out early in the game building a quick 5-0 lead in the first nine minutes of the game. Mike Perkett would get the Lions on the board with a laser shot from left of the goal to make the score 5-1 at the 5:24 mark. Kean would answer back with an 8-0 goal run of their own to bring the score to 13-1 mid way through the second period. At the 6:18 mark, Jamal White would net his first goal of the day to make the score 13-2. The score would remain 13-2 heading into halftime. 
  • The second half started much like the first half as the visiting Cougars rattled off six straight goals to build a 19-2 lead for their biggest lead of the game at the 3:47 mark. The Lions would still put up a fight outscoring the cougars 7-1 the rest of the way. Jamal White netted three goals in that run and Mike Perkett, Joe Nugent, and Mike Haas would get involved in the mix. 
  • The Lions would 7-1 run would not be enough and drop the contest 20-9 to Kean.

  • Bryn Athyn was outshot 70-23 
  • Kean won the groundball battle 44-18
For the opposition
  • Brady Moore led the way for Kean with five goals and one assist
  • Dean Gilette score four goals and passed out four assists
  • Connor Batjer aadded two goals and three assists. 
  • Max Stevens was 16-19 in faceoffs
