BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn women's lacrosse improved to 2-1 on the season and in CSAC play with 13-2 win over Cedar Crest.
- Payton Gormley continued her tear this season and led the Lions in scoring with six goals, five ground balls, and four assists.
- Nicole McCurdy contributed three goals and three assists and seven draw controls.
- Tori Titano and Paulina Storck both added two goals a piece.
How it Happened
- After ten minutes of no scoring, Paulina Storck broke the drought with both teams at the 20:03 mark to put the Lions up 1-0. The Lions would continue on to score four more unanswered goals from Gormley, Storck, and McCurdy. Cedar Crest's Emily Schoelier ended the 5-0 scoring run at the 3:18 mark to make the score 5-1. Nicole McCurdy closed the half on a 2-0 run herself netting goals at the 2:25 and 0:57 mark. Lions took a 7-1 lead into the break.
- The second half started with both the Lions and Falcons trading goals in the first four minutes of the half. Payton Gormley went on a four goal run herself from 23:42-5:54 mark. Gormley ended up scoring or assisting on five of the six goals in the second half. The Lions win 13-2.
