BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - In a huge CSAC game that pitted the Lions of Bryn Athyn against the Giants of Keystone, the game lived up to the hype with Keystone nipping Bryn Athyn at the buzzer on a contested fade away 82-80.

- Sophomore, Derreck Orr Jr. led the team in scoring with 17 points and added 3 boards
- Freshman, Jamal Cannady Jr contributed 16 points and 4 assists
- Jaryn McCann set a program record with 19 rebounds. McCann added 13 points as well
- Isaiah Cureton knocked down four 3-pointers on the way to 12 points.
How it happened
- The two teams would play even basketball through the first 10 minutes with neither team able to build a lead bigger than five points
- At 9:05 mark of the first half Keystone would begin to build a 10 point lead (33-23) over the next six minutes
- The Lions would answer in the final portion of the half to cut the lead to 37-31 at the break
- The Lions opened up the second half on a 16-9 run with Cannady Jr scoring six points in the run
- From that point on the teams would match stop for stop and shot for shot.
- Keystone would hit a big 3 to make it 78-75 with 1:59 left
- McCann would answer with a 3 of his own 18 seconds later
- Two made free throws from the Giants would stretch the lead to 80-78 with 47 seconds left
- After a timeout from Keystone, Cannady Jr would score on a driving layup with 26 seconds left to tie the game at 80 a piece
- Keystone's senior guard Tone Cockrell would nail the contest fadeaway jumper in the paint as time expired to give the visitors the win 82-80.
Notes
- Lions won the rebounding battle for the first time all year 48-44
- Bryn Athyn would hit a conference single game high 14 3-pointers in the game
- The Lions have played the top four teams in the CSAC preseason poll to open up conference play and their record stands at 1-12 and 0-4 in conference play
- This is the third single digit loss in conference play for the young Lions.
