CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bryn Athyn College men's basketball traveled to first place Wilson College on Saturday and went blow for blow with the Phoenix before dropping the contest 79-71.

• Freshman, Jamal Cannady Jr. poured in the second highest single game total in program history with 35 points
• Sophomore, Derreck Orr Jr. added 14 points
• Junior, Jaryn McCann led the team in rebounding with 7 boards

How it happened

• The Lions scored the first 5 points of the game off a three from freshman Noah Riley and a layup from Cannady Jr. 
• The teams would play even basketball the rest of the half trading baskets and no team gaining more than 3 points of separation
• A last second layup from Wilson gave the Phoenix a 34-33 lead at the break
• Wilson would methodically build their lead to 7 points at the 13:08 mark (51-44)
• The Lions would make their run and answer with a 9-2 capped off with an and-1 from Cannady Jr. 
• The teams would stay within one possession up to the 2:00 mark when Wilson led 68-66.
• The Phoenix would make a late push to stretch the lead to 7 points. 
• It became a free throw possession game and Bryn Athyn would lose 79-71.
