BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College Men's lacrosse team dropped their season opener at home against Gwynedd Mercy 15-5.

How it happened

• Gwynedd Mercy jumped out early on the Lions with seven unanswered goals through the 10:05 mark of the second quarter
• White got Bryn Athyn on the board to cut the deficit to 7-1 at 9:39 in the second frame
• Gwynedd would close the half with two more goals and lead 9-1 at the break
• The Griffins opened up the second half with three straight goals to effectively put the game out of reach at 12-1
• The Lions would outscore the Griffins 4-3 for the rest of the game to bring the loss to 15-5
