Women's lacrosse magical season continues with CSAC Championship win

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The number one seeded Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team welcomed the preseason favorite and defending champion Notre Dame College of Maryland to General Ronald K Nelson Field and won 15-7 in monsoon like conditions to secure the program's first CSAC championship and berth into the NCAA Tournament.

  • Lee Antwi and Maria Storck got the scoring going for the Lions at the 14:17 and 13:18 mark
  • Notre Dame answered with two goals of their own at the 12:49 and 12:15 mark.
  • The Gormley sisters would go on a 6-1 goal run to end the quarter
  • The dynamic sisters continued their onslaught of the Gators outscoring them 4-1
  • Lions would head into the break with a 12-4 lead
  • The teams would play even lacrosse in the second half with both teams scoring 3 goals a piece
  • Payton Gormley put an exclamation point on the game with her final goal with 10 seconds left to give the Lions the 15-7 win
