Field hockey overwhelmed by Neumann

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Field Hockey team dropped its second game of the season to Neumann, 7-0, in a non-conference contest.

  • Veronica Diaz made 11 saves in goal, leading Bryn Athyn to a 11-1 advantage in saves
  • Ava Fino fired a shot on goal for the Lions
  • Amy Wilson logged four defensive saves, moonlighting as a second Lions goalkeeper

How it Happened 
  • Bryn Athyn and Neumann battled back and forth early in a physical, defensive game under the lights
  • Neither side got on the scoreboard until 10 minutes in, when Grace Ginty capitalized on a scramble for Neumann
  • The Knights would go on to score twice in the second period, three times in the third and once in the fourth to seal the deal

  • Bryn Athyn now has 17 defensive saves as a team over two games. Since 2017, they haven't tallied more than 24 in any season.

For The Opponent
