Men's Basketball falls to Pratt on the road

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The men's basketball team shook off some rust on Monday, losing to Pratt Institute 72-60.

Inside the Box Score
  • Isaac Marshall led the way with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. 
  • James Dyson got on the board with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 3-pointers made. 
  • Jalen Cary added 10 points and 2 threes in a team-high 25 minutes. 
  • Keith Bullock contributed 9 points and 4 assists. 
How it Happened
  • Pratt tipped off the game on a 13-0 run, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. 
  • Head Coach Sean Westerlund responded with an all-bench substitution. A 14-8 Bryn Athyn run followed, as did a Pratt timeout. 
  • The Cannoneers maintained a comfortable lead for the rest of the half, going into the break up 36-26. 
  • Lions came out of halftime sticking with their backups, who got within single digits early in the second half. 
  • However the home team got up as much as 21 midway through the final period, all but sealing the deal.
  • Pratt went on to win by 12. 
Coach's Corner
  • "Credit to Pratt for being the hungrier team. We started really slow and we were bailing out water from the boat from that point on. Our second unit really led the way for us. James Dyson and Isaac Marshall were warriors." - Coach Westerlund. 
Notes
  • Bryn Athyn missed 59 shots on Monday, shooting 38.2% on 2-pointers and 14.3% on 3s. 
  • Lions are now 4-2 in 2023-24.
