Women's Lacrosse makes statement on Senior Day

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The women's lacrosse team honored its seniors with a dominant win over Keystone College, winning 19-1.

  • Shea Gormley turned in a monster performance to finish the regular season, totaling 7 goals, 9 ground balls, 10 draw controls, an assist, and 2 caused turnovers.
  • Maria Storck was right behind her with 6 goals (on just 6 shots), 2 assists, and 3 ground balls. 
  • Lee Antwi dished out 4 dimes and scored a goal in her final regular season game as a Lion.
  • Kylie Scarpiello and Kayla Smith each chipped in two goals as well. 
How it happened
  • Bryn Athyn was on a mission from the onset of the match. Storck, Gormley and Sabrina Brock each scored before the 10 minute mark of the first period.
  • Gormley (2), Storck and Smith (1 apiece) would each score before the end of the quarter to put the Lions up 7-0 after one.
  • The onslaught continued in the second, as Bryn Athyn scored four times in the opening six minutes to trigger the running clock.
  • Keystone would score late in the third to eliminate the shutout.

  • Shea Gormley finishes the 2023 season as the CSAC's leading goal scorer with 27 goals in 5 conference games. 
  • The Lions finish the 2023 season 9-2 overall and 5-0 in conference, earning the No. 1 seed in the CSAC Playoffs.
