VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is proud to announce
Ashley Rivera, a soccer and lacrosse student-athlete from Bryn Athyn College as the 2022-23 CSAC Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year following a vote by the conference's athletic directors.
"The scholar athlete of the year award is the highest honor the conference bestows to student-athletes. Josh and Ashley should be proud of the demonstrated success during their collegiate careers. I have no doubt they will continue to contribute to their communities in meaningful ways," said Marie Stroman, CSAC Commissioner.Â

Ashley Rivera graduated as a two-time CSAC Player of the Year in Women's Soccer, leading the Lions to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. In her final season, Rivera finished 2
nd in NCAA Division III in total goals (28) and goals per game (1.75) and is 3
rd in points per game (3.81) while leading the CSAC with seven game-winning goals on the season. Additionally, Rivera was a 3-year varsity letterwinner on the Women's Lacrosse team, making two NCAA Tournament appearances (2022, 2023).
Academically, Rivera was a 4-time CSAC All-Academic honoree, two-time IWLCA Honor Roll, PhillySida Academic All-Area in 2021, and on the Dean's List all 12 trimesters. In 2022, Rivera was awarded the Bryn Athyn Athletics Female Academic Student-Athlete of the year and, in 2023, won the Female Student-Athlete of the Year
On campus, Rivera was a volunteer at Bryn Athyn Church School and assisted with their free soccer clinics while also coaching on campus for the Bryn Athyn Soccer Camps. She worked in the Education Department on campus as a videographer and editing assistant and assisted the Athletic Department with their athletics advertisement video as well.
She graduates with a 4.0 GPA in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Special Education
