Men's Volleyball opens season with home tri-match

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's volleyball team tipped off the 2024 season with a split in its home tri-match on Sunday.

  • Bryn Athyn defeated Sarah Lawrence 25-22, 25-23, 25-20. 
  • Immaculata defeated Bryn Athyn 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

  • "We took a lot of steps forward in the two matches today. I was impressed with how we faced adversity as a young group. We had big play from our freshman class, as Bryan Choute finished with 16 kills and 4 aces on the day. Adan Rodriguez-Sapien played great defensively with 36 digs, as well as 3 aces.
    After the sweep of Sarah Lawrence, we found ourselves down a set to Immaculata. We made some adjustments at that time. While we lost the next two sets by 2 and 3 points, I think we are continuing to move forward in the right direction. We just need to keep a growth mindset and move forward together." - Head Coach Jason Barshinger.
