Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Little gets big for Men's Basketball win

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The men's basketball team notched another feather in its cap on Wednesday, defeating Rosemont 81-66.

Inside the Box Score
  • Will Little was the driving force tonight, pouring in 28 points on excellent efficiency (8-11 on 2-pointers, 4-6 on 3s).
  • Jakir Hampton was also efficacious, adding 25 points (6-6 2PT, 5-8 3PT), 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
  • Jalen Parker had a balanced line of 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks.
  • Jalen Jackson was a great connecting piece, contributing  points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists.
How it Happened
  • Slow starts are common for Bryn Athyn, and Wednesday was no different. The teams were evenly matched through 12 minutes, with BAC clinging to a four-point lead.
  • Lions then turned garbage into gold, closing the half on a 29-10 heater to take a commanding lead into the break.
  • Rosemont crept within seven late, but Bryn Athyn quickly squashed that bug, winning by 15.
Coach's Corner
  • "I was pleased with the win. Our first half was our best half of basketball all year. The ball moved, we hit shots, generated quality possessions. We do need to have a better mentality and approach with finishing games and putting teams away but 23 assists and 63% shooting while holding the opponent to 36% is a winning formula." - Head Coach Sean Westerlund
Notes
  • Lions shot 26-40 inside the arc (65%), by far their best mark of the season.
  • Bryn Athyn improves to 10-1 in the United East, creating more separation at the top of the Skye Division standings.
Up Next
  • Men's Basketball is back home against Valley Forge on Saturday, January 27th at 3:00pm at Asplundh Field House.
