SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - The men's volleyball team broke even again this week, winning one match 3-0 and losing the other 3-0 on Friday night.

• Hood defeated Bryn Athyn 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

• Bryan Choute led the way with 5 kills, 9 aces and 1 block. 
• Christian Paredes finished with 7 aces and 2 digs. 
• Blake Halterman ended with 6 kills. 
• Adan Rodriguez-Sapien served 4 aces and corralled 4 digs. 
• Teagan Dewees amounted to 3 kills and 5 digs. 

Hood 3, Bryn Athyn 0

• Bryan Choute registered 8 kills and 1 ace. 
• Teagan Dewees put together 5 kills, 1 ace, 1 block, 1 assist and 6 digs. 
• Blake Halterman totaled 4 kills and 1 ace. 
• Laban Genzlinger did the dirty work for 15 assists and 8 digs. 

Coach's Corner

• "I was really pleased with our play throughout the day. We had big contributions during the Penn State Schuylkill match from Christian Paredes with 7 aces. Bryan Choute came up big with 9 aces and 5 kills. Blake Halterman led our attack with 6 kills, 2 aces, and a .556 attack percentage," Head Coach Jason Barshinger said, "I was very proud of our fight against Hood College. We never felt out of it, and we competed the entire way. Not the result we wanted, but we are beginning to see this group come together early in the right ways."
