BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The women's basketball team came out roaring on Saturday in their home opener. The Lady Lions dominated visiting Penn State Mont-Alto 73-45.

• Zhymani Smith led the way with 16 points 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. 
• Malia Bullock also had a nice afternoon totaling 13 points while shooting 85% from 2 and 100% from 3. 
• Alayna Day added 10 points and led all Lions with 8 rebounds. 
• Amber Souffrant contributed a very efficient 9 points. 
• Freshman Xola Wade left her mark on the game with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assist and 2 steals. 

How it Happened

• Bryn Athyn started slow finding themselves down 8-2 early on. 
• After a couple forced turnovers; the Lions tied the game 8-8 with a layup by Alexa Osafo-Mensah
• Penn State would battle back to take the lead 17-10 heading into the 2nd quarter.
• After shaking off the pregame jitters; Bryn Athyn proceeded to go on a 15-10 run forcing PSU into a timeout.
• Z.Smith shortly after would hit a 3 to give Bryn Athyn their first lead of the game. 
• Bryn Athyn Lady Lions went into halftime up 32-28 
• The home' onslaught continued in the third, as they went up 56-31. 
• Lions would go on to win by 28. 

Notes

• Bryn Athyn had 44 points in the paints while 40 points of their total came off forced turnovers.
• BAC also produced 19 steals and forced a total of 34 turnovers.
• The home team held the visitors to 3 points in the 3rd quarter.
