Men's Basketball hold off Salisbury University

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's basketball team earned a signature win over Salisbury University on Tuesday, winning 73-66. 

Inside the Box Score
  • Will Little led the way for the lions with 17 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.  
  • Jalen Parker did the dirty work en route to 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists
  • Jakir Hampton contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds.
  • Isaac Marshall chipped in 9 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. 
  • K'Mari Smith added key relief minutes off the the pine with 5 points and intense defensive presence. 
How it Happened
  • Salibury got out to a 9-0 lead in the opening minutes, forcing an early Bryn Athyn timeout. 
  • Lions proceeded to rattle off an 8-2 run to cut the lead to 3.
  • Over the next 3 minutes; the vistiors would go on their own 8-2 run to take a 19-10 lead.
  • Sophomore K'Mari Smith would enter the game and jump start the Lions on a 18-4 run though his aggressive defense and doing all the things that don't show on the stat sheet.
  • At haftime; Bryn Athyn led 32-30. 
  • Salisbury would come out on the attack in the second half and found themselves up by 3 within the first three minutes of the half. 
  • Both teams traded buckets majority of the half and were tied at 52 with just 5 minutes left. 
  • Salibury would score 6 more points in the final two minutes but found themselves in the penalty late.
  • Will Little would hit a dagger 3 to put the game out of reach while the Lions converted late free-throws to seal the game.
  • Bryn Aythn went on to win 73-66
