BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's lacrosse team battled with Purchase on Wednesday afternoon, losing 8-7 in double overtime.

Nicholas Yi scored 1 goal, assisted on 3 more, gathered 3 ground balls and caused 2 turnovers.
Jayden McGonagle finished with 2 goals and 2 ground balls.

How it Happened

Purchase got out in front five minutes into the game, and added another one before the first period ended.
Bryn Athyn bounced back right at the start of the second quarter, as Yi connected with White to make it 2-1.
McGonagle tied the game in a man-up situation midway through the second.
Panthers closed the first half with two goals of their own to go up 4-2.
The third was evenly matched, with only one goal the entire quarter. Lions went into the fourth down three.
Lions got within one with three minutes to go before suffering an own-goal to go down two.
White came in clutch with two goals in under two minutes to tie the game and force overtime.
Neither team got anything going in the first overtime.
Purchase knocked in a goal off a turnover in the sixth frame to win.
