- At halftime, the game was knotted at 5-5.
- Highlanders got on the board immediately out of the break, amassing five shots and an eventual goal less than 70 seconds into the third period.
- White did his best impression of Hercules, scoring twice in the third to keep the game within one.
- Yi tied the game at 8-8 with 10 minutes to go.
- Cairn finished the game with two goals to win 10-8.
