Bryn Athyn, PA. – The Bryn Athyn volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision against Penn State Brandywine Thursday evening at Asplundh. 

Set Scores 

• Penn State Brandywine defeats Bryn Athyn 18-25, 20-25, 11-25. 

Penn State 3, Bryn Athyn 0.  

With the setback, the Bryn Athyn Lions drop to 0-2 overall this fall and have lost two straight. 

• Riley Breen totaled 37 total attacks with a team high 16 kills to go along with 5 digs. 

• Samantha Lipp totaled 18 digs of her own.  

• Sabrina Brock had 28 total attacks and 5 digs on the day.  

How It Happened 

• PSU took the opening set with help from three players with 1 block each and 4 digs by Laura Jezyk. Bryn trailed 21-18 and could not seem to bring the game closer. 

• Bryn Athyn lions bounced back in the second set as they dominated early with an early 4-1 lead. With 4 players having 3 digs each and 4 kills by Sabrina Brocks; Bryn Athyn was unable to maintain the lead as PSU came back to win the set 25-20. 

• Trailing heading into the third set, the Bryn Lions came up short as it was put on its heels early in the set. PSU had 5 players with at least 4 digs and 5 assists from Laura Jezyk to close the final set. 

Notables 

• The Bryn Athyn Lions's showed some promising plays throughout the match. 

• Riley Breen (37) and Sabrina Brocks (28) both had a tremendous number of total attacks in the evening.  

• The match featured 52% or better across the board for attack percentage through 3 sets.
