Men's Volleyball kicks off their season

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College Men's Volleyball program is ramping up to start their 2025 season. The Lions schedule includes 28 matches, including eight United East Conference matches in March and April.

The season begins with a trip to Bronx, NY to face Pratt Institute and host Lehman College in an early tri-match on Saturday, January 25. The team will head on the road to face Immaculata on Tuesday, January 28 before hosting Valley Forge on Wednesday, January 29 in the home opener.

The Lions will play a number of other non-conference matches in February against competition such as Hood College, Neumann University, Yeshiva University, The College at Old Westbury, Cairn University, Penn State Schuylkill, Purchase College, York College of NY, Saint Joseph's University of Brooklyn, Wilson College, and King's College. The competition in February will have the program traveling throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York during this stretch.

The Lions will kick off United East Conference play when they face Pratt Institute in New York on Wednesday, March 5, then return for back-to-back home matches against Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, March 8 and Neumann on Wednesday, March 12. The team will then travel to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 15 to face Gallaudet for a doubleheader that includes a conference match followed by a non-conference match.

Valley Forge will host Bryn Athyn on Friday, March 21 in Phoenixville, PA before the Lions return home to face off against Wilson College on Wednesday, March 26. The final road match will be on Saturday, March 29 against Lancaster Bible College, while the regular season wraps up with a conference match against Cairn on Tuesday, April 1 at home.

Head Coach Jason Barshinger enters his 3rd season leading the Lions in 2025. He will be joined by former student athlete Teagan Dewees ('24). Dewees will enter his first season on the sidelines as an Assistant Coach.
