Highest scoring game since 2022 for Women's Lax

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - For the first time since 2022 women's lacrosse put  20 goals on the board as they defeated Gwynedd Mercy University in an action packed game by a score of 20-15 on Wednesday. 

Inside the box score How it Happened
  • The Griffins struck first with 2 goals within the first two minutes. 
  • The Lions would strike back shortly after as Bradley scored her first goal of the day. 
  • Gormley would insert herself into action with a goal after Gwynedd scored their third goal of the first quarter. 
  • 2 more goals and 1 assist by Bradley to Brock would give the Lions a 4-3 lead with about six minutes remaining. 
  • The home team would then score 5 more goals to Bryn Athyn's 1 before the conclusion of the quarter.
  • Gwynedd led 8-5 after one quarter. 
  • The Griffins started the second quarter similar to the first by being the first to score. 
  • The tag team duo of Bradley and Gormley refused to let up as they both scored again within 1 minute of each other to keep the game close. 
  • After another score by the home team; Bryn Athyn would go on a 7-1 run at the end of the second into the beginning of the third.
  • Gwynedd would then go on their own 5-0 run to take a 1 point lead with three minutes remaining in the third. 
  • The Lions took a commanding lead with one second remaining on the clock with a slingshot score by Scarpiello.
  • In the fourth; the Lions shut out the Griffins as they scored 4 more goals to take the win 20-15.

  • Gwynedd held the advantage in draw controls 21-16
  • Lions improve to 3-1 on the season
