BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The women's lacrosse team maintained its momentum in a matinee match up on Saturday, defeating Kings College 14-8.

  • Sabrina Brock scored the first goal less than three minutes in, putting the home team on the board for the first time.
  • After a won draw control by the Lions; Paige Lipp scored a goal within the same minute to put Bryn Athyn up 2-0. 
  • Shea Gormley was the last to score in the first quarter and the first to score in the second. 
  • With a dagger down the middle Kira Bradley gave Bryn Athyn a 5-0 lead with a little over five minutes remaining in the second quarter.
  • The Monarchs would respond with a 4-0 run to close the quarter and cut the match to a 1 point Bryn Athyn lead before halftime.
  • Just thirty seconds in the third quarter; Bradley would strike again to make it a 6-4 Bryn Athyn lead. 
  • Kings refused to go away as they scored again just two minutes later. 
  • Gormley, Brock, and Bradley then would go on a 5-0 triple threat run to close the third and open the fourth. 
  • The visitors would continue to fight in the fourth as they were able to score 3 more goals.
  • Constant attack by Bradley and Gormley would put the game out of reach spearheaded by amazing saves by Chloe Munyon 
  • Lions ultimately shut the door with a 14-8 victory.
