Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. - The women's lacrosse team fell to 1-6 on the season and 1-4 in the NEAC after today's 18-3 loss to Morrisville State.
After 14 minutes of scoreless action, the Mustangs offense sparked for five unanswered goals. With 2:36 left in the first half, Kaitlyn Brock netted the Lions first goal. The Mustangs scored once more, before the half.
In the second half, Morrisville State extended the lead to 9-1 but Brock answered back with a free position shot goal at the 23.50 mark.
The Lions scored a few minutes later, after Emma Gross netted her free position shot. The Mustangs went on to score eight unanswered goals to close the game.
Brock finished with two goals on six shots and added four ground balls, while Gross tallied a goal on five shots. Anja Weisser made 10 saves on 28 shots.
The Lions will travel to Lancaster, Pa. to take on Lancaster Bible (2-9, 1-6 NEAC) in a conference matchup. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
