Women's Lacrosse toppled at Bryn Mawr, 10-3

Bryn Mawr Pa - The women's lacrosse team traveled to Bryn Mawr Wednesday afternoon in a non conference game. The Lions fell to Bryn Mawr 10-3 moving to 1-2 on the season. 

Bryn Mawr opened up the scoring in the opening minutes of the half, but the Lions responded several minutes later, when Sabrina Colbridge worked her way to goal and fired a shot past the Bryn Mawr goalkeeper to tie the score at 1-1. Bryn Mawr then outscored the Lions 4-0 to end the half and hold a 4-1 lead. Bryn Mawr outshot the Lions in the first half 11-4 making the Lions keeper Anja Weisser work to keep the Lions in the game.

The second half saw Bryn Mawr come out firing, scoring four more goals in the first ten minutes of the half. With the Lions down 9-1, Emma Gross responded with two goals in a 14 second span to cut the lead to six, 9-3. The Lions built up some momentum creating a flurry of shots, but Bryn Mawr's defense kept the Lions off the scoreboard. Bryn Mawr would add one more goal to hold on for the 10-3 victory over the Lions.

The Lions were led by Emma Gross who scored two goals and Sabrina Colbridge who added one goal. The Lions goalkeeper Anja Weisser made five saves on fifteen shots. 

The Lions are now 1-2 on the season and open up conference play this Saturday. The Lions will host cross town rival Penn State Abington this Saturday April 2nd at 2:00 pm.
