Women's Lacrosse fall on the road to Morrisville State

Morrisville, NY. - The women's lacrosse team traveled to Morrisville State in a NEAC match up. The Lions fell to Morrisville 21-4.

The Lions were only able to get four goals on the day facing a tough Morrisville State team. The Lions were able to tie the score early in the game 1-1, when Sabrina Colbridge scored in the 26th minute on a free position shot. From that point forward, Morrisville outscored the Lions 8-1. Emma Gross was able to add a goal at the 9:54 mark making the score 9-2. The half ended with the Lions down 14-2.

The Lions were not able to stop the Mustangs offense, as the second half saw the Mustangs outscore the Lions 7-2 and fell to the Mustangs 21-4. The Lions goals were scored by Emma Gross and Laura Clymer. 

The Lions Emma Gross led the Lions with two goals and had four groundballs. The Lions goalkeeper Anja Weisser saw 34 shots and made 13 saves.

The Lions are 2-6 on the season and 1-4 in the NEAC. The Lions are back in action on Saturday, April 23rd as they host Keuka at 1:00 pm.
