BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team opened the 2020 season with a 15-0 non-conference loss to Wilkes on General Ronald K. Nelson Field Saturday afternoon.

Shauna Breen paced the Lions with four ground balls, three draw controls, and a pair of caused turnovers. Rose Glass recorded two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Gracelyn Bullard added three ground balls.

Hannah Fox played in goal in the opening half and stopped 11 shots. Jenessa Lombardi made four saves during the final 30 minutes.

Domenica Lerch had six points (three goals, three assists), six ground balls, four draw controls, and caused a turnover to lead Wilkes. Ashley Burkhardt scored four times, while Lauren Delamater and Sierra Duman each added two goals and one assist Delamater added five ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Sarah Carlini and Melania Velasquez split time in goal, making two and four saves, respectively.

Bryn Athyn now has over a month to regroup and prep for Colonial States Athletic Conference play when the Lions travel to Centenary (N.J.) on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m.
