BRYN ATYHN, Pa. - This weekend your Bryn Athyn Men's Ice Hockey team won twice against the West Chester Rams in back to back games. Friday night, the team was able to take a win of 10-3, followed by a 6-1 success the following night. This moves the Lions up to having nine out of eleven conference game wins so far.Â
Game 1:
During Friday nights game, senior Zach Pamaylaon was the teams point leader, gaining 8 points throughout the game. Not far behind both Landen Sill and Eric Higgins achieved 6 points each. First to score was Higgins with an assist from Sill. Not long after Higgins was able to score again, assisted by Pamaylaon and Sill. Minutes later Sill was able to score with an assist from Pamaylaon. With 23 seconds left on the clock, Pamaylaon was able to score an impressive shot with assists from Aidan Esack and Higgins. Ending the first period the Lions led 4-0 and were just getting started. Â
Entering the second, Sill was able to score yet again with an assist from Pamaylaon. Shortly after, Pamaylaon scored another goal with an assist from Higgins. Right after Pamaylaon was able to get a hat trick that was assisted by Sill and Higgins. Esack making the eighth goal of the night and scoring for the first time this game, was assisted by Anthony Basile, and James Cole. After these goals, freshman Sean Ford had an impressive hit just before West Chester was able to score twice on Michal Nabozny. This made the score at the end of the second 8-2 Lions.Â
During the final period Pamaylaon scored his fourth goal of the night, assisted by Colin O'Hara and Sill. Soon after, West Chester scored one last time raising their goals up to three. Scoring the final goal, and achieving their first collegiate hat trick was Eric Higgins. He was assisted by Pamaylaon and Ford. The final score was 10-3 Lions.Â
Game 2:
Just 24 hours later Bryn Athyn was able to win yet again. Â
In the opening period, first to score was Esack, assisted by Alex Garcia. With just over a minute remaining on the clock, Higgins scored with an assist from Esack. Starting in goal for the first time this season, was freshman Zach Bocker. During the first period, Bocker was shot on eleven times and did not let a single one in.Â
Going into the second, Bryn Athyn was able to score two goals in a row. Higgins scored first with an assist from Pamaylaon. Then James Cole scored the fourth goal, assisted by Esack. About six minutes later West Chester scored their one and only goal on Bocker. Right after the Lions scored twice more. First, Sill got a goal which was assisted by Pamaylaon. Scoring the last point, and receiving his first goal of the season was Colin O'Hara. He was assisted by Pamaylaon. Bocker was able to save 28 out of 29 goals and played an amazing game. Winning 6-1 the Lions are moving their way up on the conference standings. Go Lions
