- Bryn Athyn maintained a strong lead, on the backs of a 62.5% shooting clinic, to go into the break up 52-39.
- Cannady Jr. took matters into his own hands in the second half, getting to the foul line 15 times and putting several Penn State players in foul trouble.
- The Nittany Lions kept the door open by picking apart the Lions' transition D, but also shut it on themselves by fouling so much in the half court. The game was never truly within reach for the visitors.
- The Lions would finish their home opener with an 11-point cushion.
