Men's Basketball stays undefeated with win over Rutgers-Camden

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team earned another impressive win on Saturday, defeating Rutgers-Camden 86-68.

How it happened
  • The Lions swiped four steals in the first two minutes to set the tone defensively
  • Jaryn McCann got into early foul trouble, leaving the Lions short on rebounding for the majority of the game.
  • Both teams comined to shoot just 3-for-24 on threes in the first half.
  • A late push by Cannady Jr. helped the Lions go into the break up 33-29.
  • Bryn Athyn finally broke through in the second half, hitting some 3s off of the pressure Cannady Jr. created at the point of attack.
  • The game unraveled from there, as Rutgers got into foul trouble while also struggling to get the ball across half court. 
  • The Lions would go on to win by 18.

"I am immensely proud of our group. They continue to amaze me every time we're together. They play so hard. They play with so much joy. Jamal [Cannady Jr.] continues to prove why he's one of the best scorers in the country. Freshman Will Little was a monster today. We defended hard. I am just proud of how we approached this game and the way we competed," Coach Sean Westerlund Said.
