Men's Basketball edged out by Wilson

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team had a pivotal matchup with Wilson College on Wednesday, falling 77-61.

How it happened
  • Visiting Wilson jumped out to an 8-2 lead to begin the game. 
  • Bryn Athyn fought back with their own run, buoyed by Cannady Jr., to make it 17-14 Lions. 
  • The remainder of the opening half was a stalemate, with neither team pulling away. 
  • Wilson ended the period with a 34-29 lead. 
  • The Phoenix slowly built on their lead out of the break behind a stout defensive performance. 
  • The Lions tried to claw back into it, but ultimately fell 77-61.

"We showed flashes tonight. Unfortunately, we were not consistent. When you play the defending champion in the league, you need 40 minutes. We're struggling right now to piece together a full game, and we have something's we need to figure out." - Head coach Sean Westerlund.
