How It Happened

• Yelle got the Lions on the board for the first goal of the season after an assist from DJ May and Aidan Esack
• Capone gave the Lions 2-1 lead after shorthanded goal for the first of the year
• Esack gave the Lions back the lead to the tune of 3-2 off passes from Scrhiver and Capone
• Capone doubled up the lead 4-2 with a shorthanded wrist shot 
• St Joe's made a late push in the second period to tie the game 4-4
• The Lions would falter in the third period, surrendering three goals
• Final score finished 7-4
