LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team lost a tough one to Cairn University on Wednesday; 89-79.

- The game opened with a constant back-and-forth between the two teams.Â
- The Highlanders begin to become more aggressive on the offensive end aggressive drives to the lane for easy points.

- Both teams continued to convert offensively and were tired at 27 with eight minutes to go in the first half.
- Cairn would close the half on a 16-10 run to hold the lead; 43-37.
- The second half starter similar to the first with both teams trading buckets.
- Bryn Athyn turned up their defense by forcing a few tough shots and was able to cut the lead to 2 at the eleventh minute mark..
- The home team refused to let up as they converted layups and foul-shots to hold onto the lead the remainder of the half.
- The Highlanders would go onto win; 89-79.Â

"We competed hard for 40 minutes, but couldn't get over the hump to tie the game in the second half. Our rebounding and individual defense at the point of attack needs to improve. We're trending up despite the result. We now focus on getting a critical conference road win at Brandywine." Head coachÂ
