Biography

AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15):

Nugent skated in 23 games while adding 11 goals and 37 assist for a total of 52 points. Nugent made his college debut against University of Pennsylvania on November 1, 2014 and recorded his first collegiate goal He registered two 4 point games and had a career high 5 point game against Richard Stockton University during the DVCHC National Championship game.  Nugent recorded two game-winning goals. Nugent registered 3 points in a game 5 times during his freshman year. He was tied for four in power-play assist with 12 and added 5 power-plat assist. He contributed 1 short-handed goal against University of Delaware on December 6, 2014.  He also recorded at least one point in 20 games.  Nugent finished second in DVCHC rookies in assist. During the DVHC playoffs he netted 2 goals and added6 assist and helped the Lions win the DVCHC National Division Championship.  In the ACHA National tournament he finished with 2 goals and 2 assist in 3 games.  He recorded his first ACHA National tournament goal against Hope College.  He ended the year with a plus/minus rating of +21 rating

BEFORE BRYN ATHYN COLLEGE:

Nugent spent three season playing for the Philadelphia Little Flyers of the MJHL. He skated in 86 career games with the Little Flyers and totaled 74 goals and 77 assist for a career 151 points.  Nugent is currently 19th all-time in MJHL in points and 12th all-time in goals. During the 2011 – 2012, season Nugent skated in 12 games netting 6 goals and adding 4 assist for 10 points. In 2012 – 2013 he finished with 59 points in 35 games. He netted 28 goals and added 31 assist. In his final year of juniors in 2013 – 2014, Nugent scored 40 goals and added 42 assist in 39 games. He finished the 2013 – 2014 season in the second in overall points in the MJHL. He was a two time MJHL All-star game (2012, 2013).  In his final year, he helped led the Little Flyers into the second round of the MJHL playoffs.
