Women's Basketball Tops Notre Dame of Maryland, 67-23

Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College Women's basketball team picked up a 67-23 win against Notre Dame of Maryland in Tuesday night action.

Brittany Vick led the Lions with 22 points and six rebounds. Kristina Clark and Hajaaha Stevens each picked up 14 points. Clark added nine rebounds, while Stevens picked up 12. Taylor Davis recorded 10 points and five rebounds. 

At 14:32 The Lions broke away with a tremendous 18-3 lead. Vick hit a jumper off a pass from Keana Schoennagle. Shoenagle then stole the ball and the Lions converted one for two. The Lions never trailed in the half and shot 43% from the field, collecting 29 rebounds. Clark led in the first with 14 points and was 7-10 from the field. Vick collected three steals. The offense stayed balanced throughout the first and the pressure was constant, causing 19 turnovers. At halftime the score was 38-12, with the Lions holding the Gators to a 16.7 field goal percentage. 

The Lions held the lead for the remainder of the game, picking up their fourth win of the season 67-23. 

Assistant Coach Renata Boodhansingh stated, "Very happy about the win. We were able to work on the little things, as well as maintaining an equally balanced offensive performance. We plan to learn from our mistakes and continue to get better." 

Leader Brittany Vick expressed, "We came out as a team tonight and we won as a team. We plan to work hard over the break and get ready for the second half of the season."

The Lions return to the court Saturday, January 4th as they host Dickinson. The game is slated for 3:00pm.
