Women's Basketball Falls to Swarthmore on the Road

Radnor, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team fell on the road to Swarthmore College in Saturday afternoon action.

Kristina Clark led the Lions with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists. Brittany Vick notched 10 points and three rebounds. Bianca Feliciano put up nine points and four rebounds.

The Garnets got on the board quick with back-to-back baskets to take a 4-0 lead.  The Lions scored a three from Feliciano to bring Bryn Athyn within one. A layup by Clark with 10:37 in the half tied the game at 14-14. Turnovers by the Lions extended Swarthmore's lead to nine points with 8:41 left in the half. Bryn Athyn brought the game within seven after Clark converted 2-2 at the line with less the four minutes in the first.  The Garnets kept on the offensive pressure going into the break with a 14-point lead.

The Lions came out in the second half, attacking the defensive boards and chipping away at the Garnet lead to eight points. Clark and Feliciano hit back-to-back three pointers at the 10:58 and 10:10 marks to chip away at Swarthmore's lead. The Lions fought hard, but were unable to regain a lead, and fell to Swarthmore 69-53.

The Lions return to the court to Monday, January 13th to face Rutgers-Camden. The game is slated for 7:00pm.
