Schuylkill Haven, PA. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team defeated Penn State Schuylkill on the road in Thursday night action.

 

Brittany Vick led the Lions with 20 points, five rebounds and two steals. Hajaaha Stevens scored 13 points and six rebounds. Kristina Clark recorded a double-double, putting up 10 points and pulling back 12 rebounds.

 

With 4:20 left in the first half, the Lions led Penn State Schuylkill by three points. Bryn Athyn took advantage of Nittany Lion turnovers to go on a 10-0 run to build their lead to 30-20. Vick hit a three pointer with eight seconds left in the half to take a 33-21 lead.

 

The Nittany Lions came out strong in the second half, cutting the Bryn Athyn lead to one point within the first five minutes. Turnovers by the Nittany Lions helped rebuild the Bryn Athyn lead back to 11 with 11:00 left in the game.  Bryn Athyn kept on the offensive pressure to build their lead to 20 points with three minutes left in the game. The Lions went on to pick up their first road win of the new year 67-47.

 

Bryn Athyn heads to Trinity this Saturday for a 2:00 pm tip off.
