Box Score Hackettstown, NJ- Despite a first half battle for each point and several lead changes, the New Jersey City Knights were able to find a burst of scoring in the second to a 67-49 win over the Bryn Athyn Lions.
A sophomore saturated starting line up allowed the Lions to fight in the first half with some experience and depth on the bench. Both teams found themselves in bonus foul trouble in the first, allowing some foul line scoring opportunities. The Lions capitalized on the Knight's foul trouble going 10-13 on the line in the first.
Bianca Feliciano led the Lions in the first notching ten points for the team efforts in the first half. Feliciano was not only an offensive threat, but a defensive magnet pulling in seven rebounds. Kristina Clark accounted for the other offensive presence in the first scoring nine points of her own. Only down two points in the first the Lions entered the locker room with a good foot forward for their first showing on the season.
The Lions struggled in the second half, unable to keep the tandem pace of the first with the Knights. The Knights pull ten points ahead and ended the game with a 67-29 win over the Lions. Feliciano and Clark led the Lions with double digit scoring, 16 and 13 respectively, and leaders on the board.
The Lions have a quick turn-a-round as they look to pick up their first win of the season tomorrow vs. Wilkes-Barre.
