Women's Basketball Falls in Non Conference Action

Doylestown, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team fell on the road to Delaware Valley 84-58 in non conference action Friday night. 

Kristina Clark led the Lions with 14 points, six rebounds and three blocks.  Keana Schoenagle scored 14 points, pulled back six rebounds and notched three assists. Brittany Vick put up 14 points and two steals. Taylor Davis scored six points, four steals and three rebounds. 

The Aggies started the game on a 6-0 run. A layup by Clark and three pointer from Vick brought the game within five, four minutes into the game.  Del Val would increase their lead 11-22 with 10 minutes left in the game.  The Aggies increased their defense and kept the Lions at 12 points till the 5:25 mark, and took a 12-33 lead.  Bryn Athyn would go into halftime trailing Delaware Valley 44-20.

Schoenagle led Bryn Athyn with 10 points, going 2-2 from the three point line, followed by Vick with nine points in the second half.  Del Val got on the boards quick, but Bryn Athyn answered with a three pointer by Vick.  The Aggies replied with a quick 7-2 run to keep their double-digit lead with 15 minutes left in the game.  The Lions would go on a 12-5 run to chip away at the Aggie lead to 42-67 lead.  The Lions would play Del Val close in the second half, but wasn't enough to bring home the win.

Bryn Athyn returns home in the New Year to take on Wilson January 6th in NEAC conference action.
