Box Score Reading, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team picked up their second conference win on the road at PSU-Berks, 91-64 in Saturday afternoon action.
Sydney LaBat led the Lions with 17 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Taylor Davis had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Brittany Vick put up 14 points and three rebounds.
Bryn Athyn got off to a quick 5-0 start, led by a lay up by Kristina Clark and Vick off defensive rebounds. The Lions kept attacking the paint, building their lead to 19-9 with 11:21 left in the first. LaBatt scored nine straight points for the Lion, to build their lead to 14 points, 34-20 with five minutes in the half. Bryn Athyn kept their offensive pressure to take a 46-27 lead going into the break. The Lions went 45 percent from the field and caused 13 turnovers in the first.
Vick started the second with a three pointer, but the Nittany Lions responded with a three pointer of their own, off a Bryn Athyn turnover. Back to back lay ups by Vick and LaBatt, extended the Bryn Athyn lead to 23 points with 17 minutes left in the game. The Lions would finish the half out rebounding the Nittany Lions 27-14. Bryn Athyn finished the game with a 52 percent shooting percentage and contained PSU-Berks to 39 percent.
