Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team defeated Wells College 63-56 in Saturday afternoon action.
Bianca Feliciano led the team with 15 points and four steals. Kristina Clark added 14 points, nine rebounds and eight steals, while Sydney LaBat tallied 10 points and three assists. Taylor Davis recorded six block, eight rebounds and nine points.
The Lions took an early 6-2 lead, following points from Davis, LaBat, and Clark. At 16:04 Wells tied the game at 8-8. Momentum continued to switch back and forth, with no team gaining more than a four-point lead. Feliciano went 4-4 from the arc, recording 15 points in the first half and leading the Lions to a 30-26 lead going into the half.
The Express started the second on a 4-0 run to bring the game within four, 34-30. The Lions answered quick with a 5-0 run, led by a three pointer by Vick to extend their lead to nine points at 15:53. Bryn Athyn kept their offensive pressure, built their lead as high as 13 points with less than 10 minutes the game. Wells attacked back late in the game with their outside shooting and rebounds to bring the game within two possessions at 1:25, but the Lions buckled down and won the game 63-56.
The team returns to the court Sunday, January 18th to face Keuka College. The game is slated for 12:00pm.
