Penn College Slip By Women's Basketball

Williamsport, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team fell to Penn College Wildcats, 93-85 in NEAC conference action Thursday night action of the road. 

Kristina Clark led the Lions with a double-double. She scored 24 points and pulled back 10 rebounds.  Sydney LaBat put up 19 points and notched eight assists.  Brittany Vick scored 17 points and had seven rebounds. 

Taylor Davis scored the first basket for the Lions, two minutes into the game.  Both teams battled for the first five minutes, but the Wildcats hit a three to take their lead. Bryn Athyn answered with back to back threes from LaBat and Bianca Feliciano to take a 13-9 lead.  The Lions would make the next two buckets to extend their lead to eight points, 17-9 at 12:10.  Bryn Athyn kept their offensive pressure to have a 11 point lead with less than 10 minutes in the half.  The Wildcats capitalized on rebounds and turnovers to tie the game at 27 all with five minutes left in the first half.  The Lions kept their ground and went into halftime with a 42-38 lead by Clark.

The Wildcats came out in the second strong, tying game at 46-46 in the first three minutes.  Both teams changed leads five times and tied the game four times at 62-62 with less than 11 minutes in the game.  The Wildcats built their lead to seven points at 5:51, but Bryn Athyn's Vick hit a three pointer to bring the Lions within three. Penn College kept their pressure in the paint and won the game.

The Lions head back on the road to face PSU Abington this Saturday.
